Walking towards Penny street via the “Hot walls”
I viewed in the distance, Spinnaker Tower.
This structure stands 170-metre (560ft) and is our landmark tower here in Portsmouth.
It was designed to reflect Portsmouth’s maritime history by being modelled after a billowing sail.
It is 2 1/2 times as high as Nelson’s Column. Making this the tallest accessible structure in the United Kingdom, outside London.
The tower is frequently lit up at night displaying a variety of vivid colours. This is done to support important events. or reasons, such as American Independence Day, Rememberance Day and the like.
The Spinnaker Tower was even nominated for virtual tourist’s 8th Wonder of the World.
I felt the shape of the nautical themed lighting, seen here in the foreground of this photograph, seemed to work quite well in a visual sense?
Both images complimenting one other, in shape and form!
