So much has happened since we returned from our cruise and so I was more than pleased today to be able to review some of our more memorable images and just briefly transport myself away from this horrendous UK weather system.
This was the second island we visited after we left Grenada. Here’s just a small sample of what awaited us as we swung into Castries, the capital of St Lucia.
Saint Lucia is an island nation in the eastern Caribbean Sea, on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. It forms part of the lesser Antilles, is located north-northeast of the islands of St Vincent and the Grenadines, northwest of Barbados and the south of Martinique.
The selection of images hopefully capture for you the general beauty and relaxed style which this beautiful island had to offer.
I would further hope that should you equally be experiencing the ravages of this awful weather-front; then todays gallery might allow you a little bit of ‘quiet time.
Hopefully allowing you just a few moments to yourself to maybe review some of todays images in more detail; and enjoying albeit from the comfort of your own home one of the Caribbean’s true little treasures?
To quote to you from the ships guide:
St Lucia offeres the traveller colourful fishing villages, secluded beaches, magnificent rain forests and exotic blossoms. The scenery is stunning. Dazzling beaches surround a patchwork in shades of green, made up of tropical fruit fields, active volcanoes, rugged jungles with wild orchids, giant ferns and birds of paradise.

Oh and Happy Monday everybody!
