Saw this little girl recently as she rode through the town of Emsworth with her Dad. She just looked so happy sitting there on her little ‘Trail-A-Bike’ which Dad or Mum can quickly connect up and use for their kids to ride with them whilst safely attached!
Cycling is so much fun for kids and it even ensures that parents themselves maintain a reasonable level of fitness. It alows them the flexibilty to go almost anywhere and at the same time to educate their chidren about road safety.
It was very reassuring for me to see that this Dads little girl at least was wearing her safety helmet! This is an absolutely essential piece of kit for everyone out biking; particularly in terms of damage limitation in head injuries!
That aside…Taking up cycling could be one of the best decisions you could ever make.
It is recognised as one of the easiest ways for you to get fit, it saves you money, it’s good for the environment, it’s low impact and therefore easier on your joints! But most importantly it is great fun!
So there you go everyone; get that cycle out of the garage and get yourself out there!
As kids we were always encouraged to do this by our own dear old Dad (God rest him)
To this day I can still hear his compassionate words clearly; as he unsellfishly offered us kids his unique brand of verbal encouragement… “OI YOU LOT!” he would say; “ON YER BLOOMING BIKES!”
“Ah; those halcyon days”
haha ~ I like your title! π I think these bikes are great for a parent and kid to share the joy of riding, but I would be constantly checking on my child to make sure the other section was still connected! Maybe putting mirrors on the handle bars would help alleviate those fears!
You and me both buddy!
Haha
Thanks for stopping by
Bob
